Website in a Weekend is a step-by-step course designed to take you from blank canvas to fully launched Showit website in just two days — no tech overwhelm, no endless second-guessing, just clear guidance and a site you’re genuinely proud of.

You’ll walk through everything from customizing your template and writing strategic copy to optimizing for mobile and setting up SEO, so your website doesn’t just look beautiful — it works hard for your business from day one. Whether you’re launching for the first time or finally giving your site the refresh it deserves, this course gives you the structure, the confidence, and the momentum to get it done.

  • You've been saying "I need to redo my website" for longer than you'd like to admit.
  • You have a Showit template (or you're about to get one) and you want to actually launch it, not just start it.
  • You're not looking for someone to do it for you. You just need someone to walk you through it, step by step, so you don't get lost in the middle.
  • This is not for you if you want someone else to do the work, or if you're looking for advanced design or development training. This course is built for one outcome: a live, finished website by Sunday evening.

You're in the right place if:

It's not because you don't have time. It's not because Showit is too complicated. And it's definitely not because your business isn't ready.

It's because nobody gave you a clear plan.

Every time you sit down to work on it, you're starting from scratch. Should you write the copy first or customize the design first? What do you actually need on a homepage? How do you connect the domain without breaking everything? What does "mobile optimize" even mean, and when do you do it?

There are a hundred small decisions standing between you and a live website, and without a clear order of operations, any one of them can stop you cold.
So you close the laptop. You tell yourself you'll come back to it. Next week. Next month. When things slow down.

But here's what's actually happening while you wait: potential clients are landing on a website that doesn't reflect who you are anymore. You're sending people there and cringing a little. You're saying "I know it's a bit outdated" before they even click the link.

That is not a tech problem. That is a plan problem. And a plan is exactly what this course gives you.

Here's why your website is still unfinished.

It's not because you're bad a tech.

Here's the thing I've watched happen dozens of times:
Someone gets a template, opens Showit, pokes around for twenty minutes, gets overwhelmed, and closes the tab. The template sits in their downloads folder for three months.

Same person. Same template. Different weekend. This time with a clear plan, a specific order, and someone walking them through each step. By Sunday evening, they have a live website.
The template didn't change. The person didn't change. The plan changed everything.

That's what Website in a Weekend is. Not inspiration. Not a motivation boost. A concrete, step-by-step plan for exactly what to do and when—so the decisions get made, the pages get built, and the site goes live.

What if you already had everything you needed?

Contact page. Gallery or portfolio. Mobile review. SEO basics. Domain connection. Final check. Go live.

That's the whole weekend. That's the course.

 Website in a Weekend

The Weekend Breakdown:

Sunday — Finish + Launch

introducing

A self-paced video course that walks you through building a complete, professional Showit website, from first login to live site in one focused weekend.

Not "almost done." Not "pretty good start." A finished, published website you're proud to send people to—with your copy written, your images placed, your SEO set up, and your domain connected.

The course is built around a specific weekend structure: what you do Friday evening to prepare, what you build Saturday, and what you finish and launch Sunday. Every lesson is short, specific, and in order. You always know what comes next.

Get your brand elements, images, and copy ready before the weekend starts so Saturday morning hits the ground running. Includes the Copy Workbook to draft your pages in one sitting using AI-assisted prompts.

Friday Night — Prep (Optional but powerful)

Brand setup. Template customization. Colors, fonts, logo. Homepage, about page, services page — built section by section with guidance on what to write and how to design it.

Saturday - Build

This is not for you if:

You want someone to build it for you. You're looking for advanced Showit customization or code-level development. You don't have a template yet and aren't planning to get one. You're not planning to actually do the work this weekend. (This course works. But only if you do.)

This is for you if:

You have a Davey & Krista Showit template (or you're getting one). You want a live website this weekend, not a six-month project. You're a creative service provider (photographer, designer, coach, planner, copywriter) who needs a professional online presence that converts.

You've started your website before and gotten stuck. You're comfortable enough with a computer to follow step-by-step instructions, but you don't consider yourself techy.

By Sunday evening, here's what's different.

Your website is live. Not "almost done." Not "I just need to fix a few more things." Live. Published. Real.

You stop flinching when someone asks for your website link. You stop qualifying it with "it's a bit outdated" or "I'm redoing it soon." You just send them the link.

You have a homepage that explains what you do and who it's for in the first five seconds. An about page that sounds like you, not like a LinkedIn bio. A services page that guides people toward booking instead of confusing them. A contact page that actually gets used.

Your SEO basics are set up. Your mobile layout is checked. Your domain is connected. Your images are organized and named correctly.

And you have a launch checklist that tells you everything is done, so you know it's ready—not just sort of ready, not probably ready, but checked-and-confirmed ready.

That's the weekend. That's the outcome.

Inside the Course

I'm Krista, co-founder of Davey & Krista. We've helped thousands of creative entrepreneurs launch Showit websites: through templates, custom design, and education.

After watching so many people get stuck in the same places, copy paralysis, decision fatigue, tech overwhelm, domain confusion, I wanted to build something that just solved it. Not a general "how to use Showit" overview. A specific, ordered, practical plan for getting a real website live in a real weekend.

Website in a Weekend is that plan. It's what I wish existed when we started, and what I'd hand to anyone who got one of our templates and asked: "Okay, what do I do now?"

Why this course works (and why I built it!)

Think about what you'd spend to hire someone to build this for you. Custom website design typically runs $3,000–$8,000. Timeline: 8–16 weeks, if your designer has availability.

Think about what you've already spent in time, the evenings you've poked at it, the tutorials you've half-watched, the tabs you've had open for months.

Think about what the website you don't have is costing you right now. The inquiries that land on an outdated page. The clients who check your site and move on. The version of your business that exists online and the one you've actually built,  and how far apart those two things are.

Website in a Weekend is $297.

One focused weekend. A live website by Sunday. A plan that actually works.

You already have the template. You already have the business. You just need the plan.

FAQ

All video lessons organized by day. The Prompt + Copy Workbook. The SEO Keywords Guide. The Lead Magnet Idea Library. The Gallery Organization Guide. The Launch Checklist. Lifetime access. All future updates.

What's included exactly?

That's okay. The goal is a live, functional website — not a perfect one. If some pages need more work after the weekend, you'll have a solid foundation and a clear sense of what's left. Most people find that once the main pages are done, the rest comes quickly.

What if my website isn't done by the end of the weekend?

You have lifetime access. The "weekend" structure is the recommended approach — doing it all at once creates momentum that keeps you moving — but you can spread it out over multiple sessions if you need to. The course works either way.

Can I go at my own pace, or do I have to do it in a weekend?

This course is designed specifically for people who don't consider themselves techy. Every lesson assumes you're starting from zero familiarity with Showit. If you can follow step-by-step instructions and you're willing to work through the confusion when it comes up — which it will, briefly — you can do this.

What if I'm not techy?

The course is built around Showit templates and uses Davey & Krista templates in all the demos. It will work with any Showit template, but the closer your template is to ours, the more directly the lessons will apply.

Do I need a Davey & Krista template to take this course?

The weekend plan is realistic for someone who sets aside most of Saturday and Sunday. If you do the Friday prep, Saturday goes faster. If you have your copy and images mostly ready, the whole thing moves quickly. Most people finish with time to spare.

How long does the course actually take?

You've been meaning to do this. You know you need it. You have the template — or you're about to get one.

The only thing standing between you and a live website is a plan.

You have it now.

Your website isn't going to build itself.
