“You cannot make any assessment on an ad, if it’s been successful or not, until you got it in front of a couple 1000 people. So I would say have a testing budget in mind where we know that “Hey, I’m not going to make any changes, I’m not going to really play with this too much until I’ve gotten in front of I’d say 2,500 people.” Because that would give you a good idea potentially of some click thru rates looking at a button in front of people to see if they are actually going to be doing what I want them to do, whether it’s making a purchase often or whatever.”
In today’s episode, we are chatting about different audiences that you can create and target when advertising on Facebook. And one of my Till Agency partners, Jesse Morquecho, is here to explore this topic with me. In this conversation, we chat about five different audience or targeting possibilities that you can get started on, on the Facebook platform. We cover how to create those audiences within Facebook, considerations when targeting each of those audiences, and where we would recommend starting if you have a limited experience with Facebook advertising.
Something that we should have mentioned at the beginning of the episode is the importance of testing. We’ve seen certain audiences work really well in one account and not at all in another. As with many things, it will likely take a little effort to start seeing consistent results. While we certainly believe that Facebook advertising can produce great results, it’s not our intention to make it out to be some sort of magical platform that produces massive results without any effort.

More about Till Agency:
We’re just three guys who came together around a love for funnels, email marketing, analytics, and Facebook advertising. After years of building various businesses on our own, we decided to leverage that experience to build a different kind of ads agency. One that cares as much about our clients’ ‘big picture’ as the ad results we get them. After all, we all built businesses to find freedom and serve the world, right?
