If building a social media following is hard, building a following on Snapchat is pretty much the equivalent of being the first to comment on Taylor Swift’s latest Instagram post. Snapchat doesn’t allow users to follow one another through links online – which means that if someone is going to follow you on Snapchat through another platform (website, Facebook, Instagram), they need to scan your Snapchat QR code.
And if you want to share that code, you could take a screenshot of your code on your phone, but if we’re being honest, it’s not the prettiest thing to share and it probably doesn’t match your brand. Does anyone else think Snapchat could have chosen better colors for their brand? Especially all the Ravens fans out there.
What most people don’t know is that Snapchat makes it easy to download and prettify your QR code. A custom code looks a lot better as a Facebook profile image or Instagram post.
All you need is software that can edit an SVG file (Adobe Illustrator, Sketch, Inkscape, Adobe Fireworks and Adobe Photoshop).
To Begin: Download your Code:
Visit your Snapchat profile online to download your Snapcode. You’ll want to visit this page from a computer, not your phone.
If you use Adobe Illustrator:
Note – Make sure you don’t remove or cover up any of the dots! They point visitors to your account!
If you use Adobe Photoshop:
Note – Make sure you don’t remove or cover up any of the dots! They point visitors to your account!
And that’s it! Let me know if you have any questions in the comments!
