Gender + Name Reveal! Baby Jones is a….

Drumroll, please! Baby Jones is a…

When did you find out?

We were able to find out at our 12-13 week appointment, which is pretty early. The tech ended up telling me what she thought after some persistent encouragement (read: begging). And it was confirmed at a later appointment.

Did you think it was a boy?

If you read our initial post, you know that Krista thought boy and I thought girl. Turns out, Krista was right! Call it mother’s intuition.

How did you decide on Jack David?

We didn’t really have all that much trouble agreeing on baby names. By the time we found out gender, we had two names picked out—one boy name and one girl name.

Krista suggested Jack because that’s my grandfather’s name. I really wanted to incorporate family names… and we both liked the alliteration.

While David is my given name, we included it to honor my dad whose name is also David. We were originally trying to incorporate his middle name—Ian. Once we settled on Jack, we didn’t like how ‘Jack Ian’ sounded, so we went with ‘Jack David’ instead.

What’s the girl’s name you all picked out?

One day you’ll hopefully find out 🙂

How’s Krista feeling?

Krista is still feeling a bit sick, but much better than she did in the first trimester! We’re hoping that she’s feeling even better as we turn the 20 week corner. Heartburn and nausea in the evenings are the worst part now.

With that said, I caught her eating chocolate cake this morning after she finished her eggs. So it’s safe to say that her appetite is returning!

So exciting! I love alliteration too!

    Meet Davey & Krista

We've spent 15+ years designing brands and websites for creative businesses — and paying close attention to what actually works.

Every template we've built is informed by real client projects, real conversion data, and a deep understanding of what makes someone go from browsing to booking. We don't just design for beautiful. We design for what happens after someone lands on your page.

That's why our templates don't just come with files. They come with the guidance to use them — writing prompts, launch checklists, and systems that take you from purchase to published.

We also teach. Our designer courses are where we train the next generation of designers, and DesignEdit is our newsletter for working creatives who want to stay ahead of AI. All of it comes from the same place: the belief that good design should make your business feel lighter, not harder.
