Real Weddings. Real Films. A Website That Finally Feels Like You.
When Jaimie, the creative behind Ridgewood Films, first launched her wedding videography business in 2015, it was built on passion and a camera handed to her by a friend. After attending film school near Los Angeles and testing out the Hollywood film scene, Jaimie discovered that the stories she truly loved telling weren’t made on sound stages—they were filmed on wedding days.
But after her husband (once her business partner) stepped back from Ridgewood Films, she realized her brand no longer reflected her solo journey—or the artistry she’d developed. She needed a site that showcased both her video and photo work, felt authentically her, and helped her reach the next level of clientele.

From Film School to Full-Time Weddings
After trying the Hollywood scene, Jaimie realized her passion wasn’t in commercial production—it was in capturing real, unscripted moments.
“A friend asked me to film her wedding since I had the gear. I didn’t expect to love it as much as I did, but I was hooked.”
In 2015, she officially launched Ridgewood Films, offering wedding videography (and later photography) for couples who wanted emotional, story-driven documentation of their day.
Why She Needed a Rebrand
Over time, the brand that once represented a husband-and-wife duo no longer felt like Jaimie.
“My husband used to be a bigger part of Ridgewood Films. Once he stepped back, the brand didn’t feel like me anymore. It wasn’t a true reflection of my work—or where I wanted to take the business.”
She wanted a brand and website that reflected:
- Her voice, personality, and values as a solo creative
- The duality of offering both video and photo
- A more elevated, editorial look that aligned with her pricing
The Solution: A Showit Template That Showcases Film and Feels Like You
Jaimie discovered Davey & Krista’s templates while searching for something that could handle both her wedding videos and photography.
“It was the first time I saw a template that combined photo and video beautifully—and it still felt easy to customize.”
What she loved about it:
- Seamless integration of gifs and video clips
- On-brand design that didn’t require coding
- User-friendly layout she could update herself
- Visual storytelling that showcased her best work
“The site feels original while still being really easy to use—both for me and my clients.”
The Results: More Followers, More Inquiries, and Higher-Paying Clients
Since launching the new site, Jaimie has already seen measurable growth:
- Increase in social media followers
- More feedback and referrals from vendor peers
- Booked a high-ticket package she wasn’t sure would ever sell
- Elevated credibility with a site that matches her experience and quality
“I 100% noticed a difference. I raised my prices—and booked a package I was scared to even list before the site launched.”
Advice for Creatives Considering a Website Refresh
“Take your time. Make it feel like you. Incorporate your brand colors, think about the kind of vibe you want your clients to feel—and choose a template that can get you there.” For Jaimie, that meant choosing a template that embraced visual storytelling, offered flexible layouts, and felt elevated without being overly complex.
