Font Pairings: Hullist, Playfair Display & Raleway

Build Your Website & Brand

Add a handdrawn script for a little fun!

We know it’s hard to find good scripts so this week we’re sharing an accent script in addition to headline and body copy fonts.

We love the handdrawn look of Hullist paired with an elegant serif like Playfair Display and a softer sans serif like Raleway. If you’re using a script, we recommend using it sparingly – such as for a few headlines instead of all headlines.

Playfair Display looks great for body copy, but due to it’s slightly thicker size, we recommend keeping the size slightly smaller and increasing the letter spacing. For a more casual approach, you could also substitute Raleway for the body copy.

Love this font pairing! This is actually what I use for my photography business/blog! I will add that letter spacing for the body – it looks so much more polished! thanks for the great tips – I love reading your content 🙂

    Meet Davey & Krista

We've spent 15+ years designing brands and websites for creative businesses — and paying close attention to what actually works.

Every template we've built is informed by real client projects, real conversion data, and a deep understanding of what makes someone go from browsing to booking. We don't just design for beautiful. We design for what happens after someone lands on your page.

That's why our templates don't just come with files. They come with the guidance to use them — writing prompts, launch checklists, and systems that take you from purchase to published.

We also teach. Our designer courses are where we train the next generation of designers, and DesignEdit is our newsletter for working creatives who want to stay ahead of AI. All of it comes from the same place: the belief that good design should make your business feel lighter, not harder.
