Interview w/ Jacob Bozarth

"That's the beautiful thing about podcasting. It's an evolving medium and there's a lot of freedom and flexibility to really find what works best for you as the host."

Today’s interview is with podcast expert, Jacob Bozarth, and when I say podcast expert, I mean it.

We’re chatting about what makes a podcast successful in 2025 and we hope you enjoy this interview.

Today’s episode is sponsored by BDOW!, formerly Sumo, the very best intelligent form and pop-up tool for your website. Deliver the right message, to the right visitor, using our advanced targeting rules. Whether you want to display a pop-up to only new visitors, or generate a unique discount code for those who subscribe to your list, you can get the job done using BDOW!

One of my personal favorite features is the Showit tab function. Basically how this works is when visitors close the pop-up, it minimizes to the bottom of the page so that visitors can open it back up if they’d like, but it also remains out of their way while they browse. You can check out how that feature works over at the Davey and Krista website.

More About Jacob

Jacob’s been a full-time podcast professional for the last 10+ years, executive producer of two #1 podcasts, and has launched 3 companies in the podcasting space.

He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in recording and production. He stumbled into being an entrepreneur when he started using his production skills to help people with their podcasts as a side project.

In 2014, he started a podcast production agency, Resonate Recordings that has worked with over 3,500 podcasters – including 16 number-one shows in all of Apple, and brands like Honda, Amazon, Twitter, and Salesforce. In 2019, two close friends and he launched a podcast called Culpable. That show went on to get over 45 million downloads and hit #1 in Apple Podcasts. In 2022, he started Resound, an AI audio tool for podcasters that automates tedious parts of production for over 15,000 creators. He recently launched Podcast Primer, where he offers resources and consulting to help you grow your brand through podcasting.

    Meet Davey & Krista

We've spent 15+ years designing brands and websites for creative businesses — and paying close attention to what actually works.

Every template we've built is informed by real client projects, real conversion data, and a deep understanding of what makes someone go from browsing to booking. We don't just design for beautiful. We design for what happens after someone lands on your page.

That's why our templates don't just come with files. They come with the guidance to use them — writing prompts, launch checklists, and systems that take you from purchase to published.

We also teach. Our designer courses are where we train the next generation of designers, and DesignEdit is our newsletter for working creatives who want to stay ahead of AI. All of it comes from the same place: the belief that good design should make your business feel lighter, not harder.
