Having a well-designed online presence is no longer a luxury. It’s a necessity.
As a modern business owner, you need a professional website that converts visitors into clients. But how many of us have backgrounds in website coding?
(*cough*…other than Krista)
You didn’t start your own business so you could get a second degree in website coding. And we all know you don’t want to spend 31 hours googling ‘how to change the fonts on my site.’
Enter Showit, a drag-and-drop website builder created specifically for creative professionals who need a stunning online presence that is easy to customize.
While other platforms, like Elementor and Squarespace, provide no-coding website building as well, Showit is hands-down our favorite. Here are 8 reasons why we think you’ll love it too!

What is Showit?
First stop, a quick definition. In the company’s own words, Showit is a drag-and-drop website builder designed to provide “high-level customization with a low-level learning curve.”
The goal of Showit is to help creatives like you attract the right clients and stand out. Showit provides website design within the Showit app and also hosts your website for a monthly or annual subscription.

8 Reasons Why Showit is Our Favorite
1. Ease of Use
Drag-n-drop. Say it with us: Drag-n-drop. If that alone doesn’t paint a clear picture of Showit’s ease of use, let us elaborate.
Showit was designed with an editor that is similar to Adobe Suite, which should make photographers and creatives feel at home. It still requires some time to get oriented, but the learning curve isn’t too steep. We also find Showit has a similar setup to Canva, although we appreciate the higher precision when moving design elements around.
Additionally, Showit has an active Facebook user community and a wide array of help documentation to answer any questions you have as you get set up.
2. Support Team
Showit’s support team is a real group of people (a novelty in today’s AI world, we know!) based in Arizona.
Their team members have hearts of gold and lead with positivity. Not only do they patiently walk you through solutions, but they’ll also make you feel at ease with fun gifs and notes of encouragement.
Warning: If you ever have a chance to meet them in person, they’ll likely hug you.
While we have had several bad experiences with support teams via chats, this has not been the case with Showit.
We’re not alone in our praise. Ask five Showit users why they like Showit, and don’t be surprised when all five say ‘outstanding support.’
Showit is the definition of “phone a friend.”
3. WordPress Connection
Another reason we love Showit is that blogging is powered by WordPress.
Imagine: An easy-to-use, drag-and-drop editor fused with the power of WordPress.
What’s not to love?
WordPress is one of the most powerful and popular content management platforms available. It allows creatives to easily share new blog post content, drive site traffic, host storefronts, and more. The customizations for WordPress are endless and at the time of writing, it is estimated that more than 40% of all websites on the internet are powered by WordPress.
Why is this relevant to you?
Showit integrates fully with WordPress, empowering you to maximize your Showit website. If you have vast amounts of content, you can combine the creative ease of Showit with the power of WordPress.
While other hosts make WordPress installation a nightmare, the team at Showit will handle the entire process for you. Showit will even migrate old blog posts if you’re coming from WordPress or Squarespace (limitations do apply).
4. Easy Font Integration
If you’ve ever tried to install custom fonts on a site other than Showit, you know this process can be a beast.
Even Krista, who knows how to hand-code custom WordPress websites, can struggle to get custom fonts working properly on WordPress sites.
Websites like Squarespace make this process even more difficult. If you want to add custom fonts to Squarespace, you must add them via CSS.
No thanks, we’ll pass.
Showit, on the other hand, already has the entire Google font library built into its interface and they make it incredibly easy to add custom fonts.

5. Sites Load Quickly
In a world of goldfish-level attention spans, site load time is everything. We recently had a new client tell us that no one visits her galleries. We pulled up her site and noticed the galleries were so slow that after a few minutes, the images timed out. She thought that no one was visiting her galleries because of the structure of those galleries, when in reality, it was the significant load time of those pages.
P.S. Her current site is NOT a Showit site, but her new one will be.
There are some things you should do to help ensure that your Showit site stays fast (such as properly sizing your images), but overall, we’ve noticed that Showit sites load very quickly.
6. Easy Template Setup
Have you ever installed a WordPress theme? If so, you know there is about a 20% chance that it will go well.
Installing a Showit template, on the other hand, is a breeze.
When you buy one of our Showit designs, you’ll receive a PDF with directions + a Share Key. It’s a 17-digit code (yes, we counted) that you paste into Showit. And then the entire design (colors, fonts, images, etc) all magically appear in your Showit account.
No plugins to add or maintain. No extras to purchase.
Are we saying Showit is the fairy godmother of website template setup? Yes, yes we are.
7. Help with Launch
Setting up a new website and updating elements like DNS records can be tricky. Sometimes overly so. But Showit walks with you each step of the way and streamlines the process.
While you’ll still need to buy your domain (your website’s URL) elsewhere (we recommend GoDaddy), Showit will set up your WordPress blog on your server and guide you through the entire launch process from start to finish.
Showit even has a new tool that can log in to your domain name registrar and update those DNS settings for you. We’ve tried it on several different registrars while launching client sites and it works great! If you’re on Showit’s Advanced plan and you have either a Squarespace or an existing WordPress site, the Showit team will also migrate all of your past blog posts. This is huge.
Without Showit’s help, migrating blog posts can be a challenging process. Sometimes text moves over to a new site but images do not – which results in broken images within your posts.
We appreciate that Showit offers such quality assistance throughout site launches.
8. Ability to Optimize
Some platforms (like Wix and Squarespace) limit your ability to optimize your site.
This is not the case with Showit.
In both the Showit interface and Showit through WordPress, there are plenty of ways to optimize your content for search engines.
There used to be a rumor going around that Showit was “bad” for SEO.
Let’s clear something up: Showit is not ‘bad’ for SEO. We outline our reasons why in this post: 5 Things We Wish People Knew about SEO.
Yes, technically WordPress is a bit more optimizable, but we would argue that it’s a LOT harder to do that optimization. You really have to know what you’re doing if you want to start minimizing scripts, offloading images, and playing with how your pages load. Confused? Yeah, we get it.
We’d be willing to bet that you don’t have the time (or desire) to do any of that, just to shave a second or two of load time off of your site.
Want to know just how powerful Showit is if you play your SEO cards right?
In a past life we were wedding photographers. We stopped photographing weddings in 2018 when our first child was born and thus stopped blogging or updating our (Showit) photography site in any way.
And until the time that we *finally* took our photography site down a few weeks ago, we still ranked on the first page of Google searches for our area.
We had not touched that site in over 5 years!
If you want to learn more about how we made that magic happen, check out our Showit SEO Course.
Conclusion:
Creating and maintaining a website shouldn’t be a headache.
If you want a stunning, professional website design without the hassle of high-tech edits, Showit is the perfect fit. With cutting-edge designs, drag-and-drop ease, and the best support in the industry, Showit will give you an online presence that leaves a lasting impression.
