BTB Episode 89: How to Build a Luxury Level Brand

Brands that Book Show

Lauren Fair

I would challenge myself to shoot 5 images at every single wedding that could be considered my style, my brand, the vision that I wanted to create for my business. Then I would only share those five images and I would never do full blog posts showing necessarily the entire scope of everything. I really wanted to create work that I was proud of, that I thought was really beautiful.

Film Wedding Photographer, Lauren Fair, joins me on the Brands that Book podcast today to chat about building a high end brand. We chat about practical steps that people can take to curate a signature look and reach luxury level clients. If you’re familiar with Lauren, then you know her work is beautiful and she’s been featured in places like Cosmopolitan, Style Me Pretty, The Knot, and Brides.

She shoots all over the world and if you’re a photographer, she also teaches workshops in beautiful destinations like France and Italy. Both her workshops were sold out this year, but a few seats to the Paris workshop have opened up since it had to be rescheduled due to the current pandemic. Meet Davey & Krista

We've spent 15+ years designing brands and websites for creative businesses — and paying close attention to what actually works.

Every template we've built is informed by real client projects, real conversion data, and a deep understanding of what makes someone go from browsing to booking. We don't just design for beautiful. We design for what happens after someone lands on your page.

That's why our templates don't just come with files. They come with the guidance to use them — writing prompts, launch checklists, and systems that take you from purchase to published.

We also teach. Our designer courses are where we train the next generation of designers, and DesignEdit is our newsletter for working creatives who want to stay ahead of AI. All of it comes from the same place: the belief that good design should make your business feel lighter, not harder.
