How to Reduce Website Image Size (Significantly) with TinyPNG/TinyJPG

Build Your Website & Brand

filed in

Although we compress our images with Blogstomp or Photoshop before we upload them to a website, we’ve found that running them through an online optimizer can reduce their size by 75% and significantly improve a website’s speed (without compromising when it comes to quality!) We recently tested out a few compressors and found that TinyPNG / Ting JPG consistently reduces the size of our images without affecting the way they look (vital for photographers & any one in the creative world!)

This new software would be great for anyone updating their website, portfolio or adding images to a blog post! If you’re consistently blogging posts with many images (such as weddings), it would be nice to run all of the images for each post through TinyPNG before uploading them to your blog post editor.

Watch the video below to see how we use the software:

what size do save in photo shop? i just got my branding photos back from my photographer, downloaded through cloud spot and show it says the photos are to large.

  2. Wendy says:

This is great! My website is slower than it should be and I know my images are too large. it was amazing to see the difference that tinyjpg made! thank you!

  3. Mia says:

When I use this does my uploaded photo simply go through their process and come back to me resized or is my original photo saved and then I am sent a resized version of my image?
