WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
“In an age and industry where first impressions can make or break you, I’m so happy I went with Davey and Krista.”
My customers still compliment me on the new look! Davey and Krista found a way to bring value to my branding, have it suit my market, and highlight the core values of my company. They were great to work with on many levels.
Shaun Gordon, CEO Kiss Books
“Jon and I just kept saying ‘They nailed it!’ after each and every step of the process.”
“Rebecca Love Photography has a new online home and we couldn’t be more thrilled about it! We started from the ground up with a complete brand re-design, a custom designed website and of course, a new logo. Thank you Davey and Krista for making our vision come to life! Krista and her team are truly amazing. Jon and I just kept saying ‘They nailed it!’ after each and every step of the process.”
Rebecca Love, Nantucket Photographer
“It was like seeing a little piece of myself that I’ve been missing and searching for, for quite some time.”
“To truly showcase their sessions & my growth in the most beautiful, utmost deserving way possible. I began looking at different designers & deep down I knew that I wanted Krista & Davey. Looking at my site now, it’s everything I could have imagined… The intense process, the questions, they forced me to dig deep and truly look at myself and my business. Every time I would open up this site, or see the brand board you created, I cried. “
Sara Campbell Photography
“…one of the most talented brand designers on the planet…”
“I have to say that not only is Krista from Davey & Krista one of the most talented brand designers on the planet, she is most definitely one of the most patient people in the universe (add to that, she’s got one of the cutest insta stories babies)!”

The Branding
Questionnaire
The conversation starts with our branding questionnaire where we get to know you and your business, its history, the services and products you offer, what your ideal client looks like, and who your competitors are.
The questionnaire not only familiarizes us with your business, but also serves as a focusing activity for you. Clients often tell us they have greater clarity and feel more focused after completing our branding questionnaire.
We use your responses to start creating a mood for your brand.
02
The Mood Board
03
Logo Drafts
If you’re happy with the mood board, we’ll start working on a few logo concepts. We generally send around three ideas for you to choose from and, if possible, we’ll hop on a call to talk them through with you.
These are rough and normally pretty far from the final design. We have to start somewhere right? This round lets you see where we could go and it helps us narrow down a single direction to focus on.
04
Logo Refinements
Once you’ve chosen a direction, we’ll start working on a few revisions based on your feedback. Most likely we’ll go through two additional rounds of revisions before we finalize the layout and illustrations in the logo.
Once the layout is finalized, we’ll explore other font options and then finally color options.
05
Final Brand
Finally, we’ll bring your entire brand together with a few submarks (if they work for your brand), a color palette, a font palette and alternate versions of your logo.
The branding design process typically takes 3-6 weeks.
06
Beginning Your Website
As we move on to the website, we’ll send over an outline of each page to help you gather images and content in an organized manner. We know content gathering can be one of the toughest parts of putting together a website so we try to break it down into easy-to-digest parts.
We’ll also ask you to gather around 100 of your favorite images for us to use throughout your site and upload them to your gallery system, Dropbox or Google Drive.
07
The Homepage
08
Website Pages
Once you’re happy with the homepage design, we’ll ask for the content for your About page and we’ll go through a similar process as we did for the homepage with up to two revisions per each page. Generally, once the homepage is done the rest of the site flows a bit faster, as the homepage determines the general look and feel of your design.
Depending on how quickly you send us content, this part of the process typically takes about a month.
09
The Build
After we’ve designed all of your pages in Sketch, we’ll begin building your site on either Showit or WordPress. We build all sites on our servers to make sure that your current site has as little downtime as possible. Building on our servers also allows us to play with images and test links before anyone else stumbles across your work-in-progress site.
We’ll send you a link to your test site and take care of any image changes and bugs before we move the site to your account. The site build typically takes 2-3 weeks.
10
Wrap Up
Once your final balance is paid, we’ll move your design to your account for final testing. The actual launch will look a little different depending on your platform, but we’ll make sure all of your blog posts are migrated from your current site and that your site is thoroughly tested before your official launch.
While you can always come back to us for updates, we’ll also record a video just for you, teaching you how to update each section of your site. We’ll also add you to our private Facebook Community to make sure you stay up to date on all things web.

FAQ
YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, WE HAVE ANSWERS
If you’re thinking about a rebrand in the next year, we highly recommend starting there before tackling a new website design. Generally people want to revisit their website after a rebrand.
Brand design typically lasts between 4 and 6 weeks.
Semi-custom website projects usually last somewhere between 6 and 8 weeks, while custom projects generally take between 8-12 weeks.
Good question! It ultimately depends on what kind of functionality you need in a website. Both platforms are relatively easy to use and provide lots of flexibility. WordPress, however, is generally a better fit for e-commerce businesses and membership sites.
Check out this article—Showit vs. WordPress/Elementor—for a more in-depth comparison.
The primary difference between semi-custom and custom website design is that semi-custom design starts with one of our pre-made website templates, which you can find in The Palm Shop.
Yes, if you choose to build your website on WordPress, we can host your website. You can, of course, find your own host, too.
If you choose Showit, Showit will host your website.
We build all of our websites with search engines in mind. We even teach on search engine optimization (SEO) at various conferences throughout the year.
SEO is not something that’s done once. You’ll need to continue optimizing your website after it’s built and as you develop content. This includes optimizing content as it’s created and building quality backlinks to your website.
All semi-custom and custom website design clients get access to our Inquiry System Course, which provides video tutorials on optimizing your website.
We typically break projects into four payments, but we can be flexible. We do, however, require a 25% payment to start the project, and the final payment to be made prior to delivering final services.
We’ll provide guidance on copy throughout your project, but we’re always happy to recommend copywriters if you’re interested in hiring one. Just let us know, and we’ll send over a few names that we think might be a good fit for your project.
